A friend of mine was in town from Chicago last night and had a hankering for Mexican, so I took her to Barrio in downtown Minneapolis. We split the guacamole, which was chunky and flavorful, and the ceviche, which was very citrusy and one of the best I've had in a while. The shrimp and beef tacos each had a unique flavor and were very good. The highlight for me was margarita I had, which had tequila, passionfruit, orange juice, and cava. I'd never though about adding cava to a margarita. It added a perfect light and bubbly touch that was reminiscent of a mimosa. Yum!
