Yesterday I went to see "The King's Speech" with the family. It's the British movie getting a lot of buzz this season, with Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, and Helen Bohan Carter. You can guess by the premise (a stammering English king seeks speech therapy) that parts get a little slow. But the wonderful acting and all the witty moments make it worth sitting through. Colin Firth is amazing. So far he's my pick for Best Actor based off this performance. Guy Pierce is only in the movie momentarily but also does an excellent job with his role. I think anyone who enjoys a good English movie about the royal family will love this movie.
