Last night, two season finales took place on television, which is sad considering it's only December. The first was the new HBO show, "Boardwalk Empire." This show focuses on Atlantic City on the time of the Prohibition and mobsters. I think it's great and would recommend that anyone without HBO add this to their Netflix queue. Steve Buesemi is fantastic in it (as is Michael Pitt and Gretchen Mol) and Martin Scorsese directs a couple episodes and is executive producer on the rest. I can't wait for the second season!!
The second finale was the 6 episode first season of AMC's "The Walking Dead." The show was signed on for a second season two episodes in. What "True Blood" does for sex, "The Walking Dead" does for gore. You're guaranteed to see several zombie heads bashed in per episode. This is definitely not for the queasy. The lady who plays Sarah in "Prison Break" is in it. I get a little annoyed by the main character, who everyone follows without questions, even though he woke up from a coma in the middle of the zombie apocalypse and feels the need to wear his sheriff gear every day.
