Can I Be Couture?

My favorite clothing site, Spool No 72, just came out with a new couture dress line. Not sure if I would classify these as true couture (unless couture means overpriced) but they are damn pretty. Now I just have to figure out where I would where any of these and why I don't have more occasions to dress like this.

Fashion Friday

I think NYE is a very overrated holiday. No matter what kind of fabulous-ness you have planned, it always seems like it should be better. The ONE thing I do like about the holiday is it's a chance to be as glam and sparkly as I wish I could be in everyday life. The search for the perfect NYE dress is ON. Of course I had to default to my absolutely favorite site for dresses Spool No. 72 (I fawned over their summer dresses last April). Having to pick a favorite sparkly sequined dress is what I imagine picking a favorite child is like! Here are my front runners in order of current preference:

Super sparkly sequined shirt (now say that 5 times fast)!

I saw this shirt a blog, Incandescent Matter, and had to re-post. It's a super sparkly number by Cynthia Rowley, aptly named "Shattered Front Sequin T-Shirt." Waaaay out of my price range, but a girl can dream...

Obsession of the Morning

This morning I went online to my shopping addiction, Rue La La, and the designer boutique of the day is one of my all-time favorite designers, Robert Rodriguez. I'm totally loving a couple of his more sparkly pieces from this season!

A homage to shoes

My favorite shopping site, Rue La La, had a Casadei shoe boutique on sale today. Even on sale (some of these shoes retail for $1,300), they were out of my price range. But that doesn't mean I can't admire their beautiful sparkly-ness and aspire to one day owning a pair. Gorgeous!
